I started wood working in High School with a hiatus of many years due to career and family needs.I restarted first in about 1975 and again in 1995 and again in 2005 when I built my shop preparing for  retirement. When I received my first lathe in 1975, as a Christmas gift, I got hooked on turning. Making furniture and cabinets is still good but my interest swiftly turned to finding the natural beauty hidden inside of trees.  Searching for the beauty that nature has hidden and finding a way to expose this beauty has become my passion. The “turning” is only one part of the process. Finishing and enhancement can include carving, air brushing, burning or even adding another medium which can be incorporated while not losing the natural beauty of the wood. Enhancement adds to the total experience.
